Golden Turmeric Latte

Turmeric lattes are becoming more and more popular in coffee shops across the country and with good reason - they're a delicious coffee alternative, packed full of flavor and beneficial spices, and they look beautiful! You don't need to be a barista to make this beverage at home, just a saucepan and a whisk. Give it a try!

Cinnamon Sticks
Turmeric, Ground
Peppercorns, Black Tellicherry
Cinnamon, Ground

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Put the milk, cinnamon stick, turmeric, ginger, peppercorns, honey, coconut oil, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a low boil over medium heat - when coconut oil has melted, whisk to combine everything evenly.
  2. When mixture is boiling, reduce the heat to maintain and gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes to meld the flavors together.
  3. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve into two mugs and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. 

The latte mix can be made up to five days ahead and stored in an airtight container in the fridge. Warm and whisk before serving.

Makes 2 cups, around 4-6 servings.
