Vanns Spices operates in an SQF2000 certified facility with an audit score of "Excellent," the highest score possible within the SQF framework. The Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard is an internationally recognized, independent food safety standard. SQF is recognized world-wide as a reputable food safety certification scheme known to be a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked standard. As an SQF certified facility, Vanns Spices implements strict good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and rigorous food safety and quality programs to ensure that our customers receive safe, consistent and high-quality products.

As part of our HACCP plan and supplier approval programs, Vanns Spices maintains documentation on all raw material spices indicating a lack of salmonella and other pathogens. Product samples and environmental swabs are regularly tested at an accredited, 3rd party laboratory to ensure acceptable levels.
